What Are The Types of Non-woven Fabrics?

Apr 17, 2023

1. Spunlace non-woven fabric

The spunlace process is to spray high-pressure fine water onto one or more layers of fiber webs to make the fibers entangle with each other, so that the fiber webs can be reinforced and have a certain strength.

The process of spunlace non-woven fabrics is similar to other dry-laid non-woven fabrics. They all need to go through the preparation of raw materials, opening and mixing, carding into a web (or air-laid or cross-folded), spunlace reinforcement, and finishing. Drying, coiling, finished product slitting inspection and packaging storage. The web forming method of spunlaced fabric can be dry-laid, wet-laid, or even melt-spun in one step.

Common spunlace process: fiber metering --- opening and mixing --- carding --- spunlace entanglement on the front and back of the fiber web (strict water treatment is required) --- drying --- coiling .

The principle of spunlace non-woven fabrics: the fiber web is conveyed by the conveying mesh curtain or the metal mesh curtain, and is pre-wetted and pre-spunlace by the pre-wetting device (roller or water curtain), and then enters the spunlace area, where the fiber web is subjected to The jet of extremely fine high-pressure water jets from several spunlace devices causes the surface fibers to enter the fiber web vertically due to strong impact. At the same time, because the delivery curtain has a three-dimensional structure, the water flow passes through the fiber net and hits the delivery curtain. It is reflected back at different angles to form a reverse impact on the fibers, causing the fibers to displace in different directions, making the fibers in the fiber web entangled and tightly entangled together to form a wet non-woven fabric with a certain strength. The water flow after the second reflection is taken away by the spunlace device and the vacuum water suction box under the mesh curtain due to the reduction of energy and pressure, and then it is reused after being treated by the filtration and circulation system. The wet non-woven fabric is vacuum dehydrated and then enters the drying device for drying. Cloth after drying.

Spunlaced cloth is formed by spraying the laid fibers with high-pressure water needles to entangle the fibers.

After the fiber passes through the carding machine, it is carded and smoothed, and then laid on the conveying line through the web lapper, and finally the fiber is entangled and formed by high-pressure water needle jetting. After forming, it must be rolled into a spunlace cloth roll through a high-temperature dryer.

According to different patterns, spunlace non-woven fabrics can be classified into plain weave, cross-printing, etc. The general raw material components are VISCOSE viscose and POLYESTER polyester, and the content of each component is different. the

2. Heat-bonded non-woven fabric

Thermally bonded non-woven fabrics refer to adding fibrous or powdery hot-melt adhesive reinforcement materials to the fiber web, and the fiber web is then heated, melted and cooled to form a cloth. the

3. Pulp air-laid non-woven fabric

Air-laid non-woven fabrics can also be called dust-free paper and dry-laid non-woven fabrics. It uses air-laid technology to open the wood pulp fiberboard into a single fiber state, and then uses the air-flow method to agglomerate the fibers on the web-forming curtain, and then strengthen the fiber web into a cloth. the

4. Wet-laid non-woven fabric

The wet-laid non-woven fabric is to open the fiber raw materials placed in the water medium into single fibers, and at the same time mix different fiber raw materials to make a fiber suspension slurry, and the suspension slurry is transported to the web forming mechanism, and the fibers are formed into a web in a wet state. Reinforced into cloth. the

Five, spunbonded non-woven fabric

Spunbonded non-woven fabric is formed after the polymer has been extruded and stretched to form continuous filaments, the filaments are laid into a web, and the web is then bonded by itself, thermally bonded, chemically bonded or mechanically reinforced to make The web becomes a nonwoven. the

6. Melt blown non-woven fabric

The process of melt-blown non-woven fabrics: polymer feeding---melt extrusion---fiber formation---fiber cooling---netting---reinforcement into cloth. the

7. Acupuncture non-woven fabric

Needle-punched non-woven fabric is a kind of dry-laid non-woven fabric. Needle-punched non-woven fabric uses the puncture effect of a needle to reinforce the fluffy fiber web into a cloth. the

8. Stitched non-woven fabric

Stitch-bonded non-woven fabric is a kind of dry-laid non-woven fabric. The stitch-bonded method is to use warp-knitted coil structure to fabricate webs, yarn layers, non-woven materials (such as plastic sheets, plastic thin metal foils, etc.) or their combinations. The body is reinforced to make a non-woven fabric.
